When a loved one dies let us know as soon as possible and we’ll be there to help every step of the way. Our phone lines are open 24 hours a day, every day.
We’ll start by obtaining some preliminary details about the deceased, then arrange to meet with you at a convenient time – at your home or in one of our offices (in Trowbridge or Westbury) – to talk in more detail and guide you through the next steps.
Most families prefer us to meet them at home to discuss funeral arrangements in familiar, comfortable surroundings, but if you prefer to come to our office, you’ll receive the same professional but caring attention we are well known for.
From the first contact our priorities are to listen to your wishes and do our best to fulfil them.
Some paperwork is required to complete funeral arrangements, the most important being known as a “green form”, proof of the registration of a death. We can assist with this if necessary, and any other bureaucratic requirements.
With or without the documents we start by taking time to learn about you and the person who has died, because it is important to us that the funeral arrangements reflect the individual being honoured. We will also discuss funeral costs, transparently and openly, to ensure you are fully informed.

Working with you we will explore what type of funeral you have in mind, and guide you through your options, with the aim of fulfilling your wishes – and those of the deceased – as far as is possible.
We have 30 years’ experience in arrange a wide range of unique funerals in Wiltshire, handling all the administrative tasks and co-ordinating all the practical aspects, so you are relieved of responsibility and can confidently focus on your wellbeing and that of your family and friends.
We can assist emotionally too, with a referral to Cruse Bereavement Support charitable organisation which has a helpline (0808 808 1677) and Wiltshire branch to help people cope with their grief and loss.
We remain in close contact in the lead-up to the funeral, ensuring all arrangements stay on track and come together on the day as a meaningful tribute for your loved one.

We have a hearse and two limousines which each seat seven. We can arrange alternative transport if required, for example a motorcycle hearse, a horse and carriage, vintage camper van – even a tank!
We can arrange for your own funeral celebrant of any (or no) denomination, or we can recommend celebrants we work with to make the funeral service personal.
We can order flowers on your behalf, or you can have your own delivered to our Chapel of Rest. If donations in lieu are your preferred option, we can guide you through the process.

We can advise and guide you through all the details and decisions to be made, such as whether you want a burial or cremation, any particular readings, songs or music for the service, the route of the funeral procession, the venues and catering, and so much more.
If you wish to visit your loved one at our Chapel of Rest, at Cote House in Trowbridge, before the funeral, this can be arranged by appointment with the funeral director.
After the funeral arrangements have been agreed we provide a detailed written estimate of the funeral costs, outlining our professional fees and any third-party expenses (known as disbursements).
