Our firm was founded in 1996 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, by Elizabeth Snell, based on her belief that operating as an independent funeral director means treating each deceased person as a member of her own family – and providing support for the bereaved accordingly.
Elizabeth – a devoted wife, mother and grandmother of five – quickly established a reputation for looking after her clients with care, compassion and empathy. Elizabeth has been a licenced member of the BIFD for over 30 years and holds a Diploma in Funeral Directing.
Her husband, Keith, worked supportively alongside her for a number of years, and after qualifying with a Diploma in Funeral Directing took on a bigger role in running the business.
Elizabeth and Keith have now pulled back from full-time work, passing on the reins to their daughter, Allyson.
Allyson is supported by two funeral directors – manages the business and shares her parents’ philosophy of providing meaningful, personalised funerals based on the wishes of the family, and not a template.
Elizabeth and Keith remain a steady presence, still overseeing the affairs of their business, making sure the departed and their families are treated with sensitivity and respect.
Marcus qualified in 2012 and has worked for the business for the past 16 years.
Heshmon joined us in 2018 with extensive experience in managing funerals.
